The Chiefs are on to Cincinnati.

Wait, what?

Chiefs coach Andy Reid adopted the phrase “on to Cincinnati,’’ after Kansas City lost Monday to the Green Bay Packers, 38-28.

“We’re moving on,’’ he said. “We’re moving on to Cincinnati.’’

New England Patriots coach Bill Belichick coined the phrase, after losing 41-14 to Reid’s Chiefs on Monday Night Football during Week 4 of the 2014 season. The Patriots went on to win in Cincinnati, 43-17, and eventually won Super Bowl XLIX.

His press conference, during which he said the phrase “on to Cincinnati’’ 15 times, marked a turning point in the Patriots’ season. Belichick admitted later he could have said it 103 times in the “Do Your Job’’ documentary — he said he wanted the Patriots “to turn the page.’’

Belichick used a similar phrase following the Deflategate scandal. When asked if the scandal detracted from their Super Bowl victory, Belichick said, “We’re on to next year.’’

The Chiefs (1-2) play at 1 p.m. Sunday, and it sounds like they’ll channel the 2014 Patriots against an undefeated Bengals squad.

Bill Belichick’s not mad; this is just his RBF
