The NFL will reportedly reinstate New England Patriots’ banned locker room attendants John Jastremski and Jim McNally, according to The Boston Globe. The two men, however, will be banned from the preparing, handling or supervision of the team’s game balls.

They were suspended without pay after being accused of deflating footballs during the AFC Championship Game. Their text correspondence was featured in the Wells Report, as McNally called himself, “the deflator.’’ The scandal dubbed Deflategate resulted in a fine of $1 million and a the loss of a first-round draft pick for the Patriots. Tom Brady received a four-game suspension, but it was vacated after an appeal in New York District Court.
