Akeem Ayers has a not-so-subtle message for Russell Wilson
Akeem Ayers has two consecutive victories over Russell Wilson — and might have just scored another.
In Super Bowl XLIX, he beat Wilson as a member of the New England Patriots. After signing with St. Louis this offseason, he and the Rams took down Wilson in their season-opener. Perhaps in response to Russell Wilson’s Twitter prediction the Seahawks were going to go, 1-0, Ayers tweeted at Wilson, saying, “Twitter fingers.’’
Then he got into a social media argument with a random Twitter user, which spurned this tweet, which includes a photo of Ayers flipping the middle finger with a Super Bowl ring on it.
He eventually deleted the tweet.
It’s likely that Bill Belichick would not approve of this message.
