Julian Edelman’s appearance in this ad is basically a scene out of ‘The Office’
Would Julian Edelman rather be feared or loved?
Probably both. If he’s anything like Michael Scott from “The Office,’’ he’ll want people to be afraid of how much they love him.
And in the advertisement above, Edelman plays a character that’s equally clueless and untalented as Steve Carell’s character. The advertisement shows Edelman attempting and failing to make car sales. Admittedly, he does have one solid pitch.
“Solid, reliable,’’ Edelman said. “Let’s just say this is the Julian Edelman of compact cars.’’
Edelman is convincing in the 2-minute, 22-second clip for Prime Motor Group — perhaps too convincing. Lucky for the Patriots, ‘The Office,’ which ended in 2013, isn’t making any casting calls.
