What if someone told you that you’re an 83? “Hey you! You’re barely a B.’’

New England Patriots wide receiver Brandon LaFell was evaluated and reduced to a number on Madden 16. That number was 83.

He wasn’t pleased with his that rating, and his reaction was priceless.

His teammates Tom Brady, Rob Gronkowski, Dont’a Hightower, Devin McCourty, and Stephen Gostkowski received top-5 ratings at their position in the video game. In his first season in New England, LaFell set career highs with 74 catches, 953 receiving yards, and seven touchdowns.

Fellow Bostonian athlete and Celtics guard Isaiah Thomas’s NBA 2K16 rating was released, and he was an 81. He, too, wasn’t happy with the video game makers’s evaluation. LaFell, 28, and Thomas, 26, should have plenty of opportunity in their respective offenses to improve those ratings.
