Dungy: Peyton Manning thought the Patriots might have bugged the visitors’ locker room

Peyton Manning might be buds with Tom Brady, but those friendly feelings don’t extend to the Patriots organization.

In fact, the Broncos quarterback is downright mistrustful of the team, at least according to his former coach, Tony Dungy.

In a recent interview on the Dan Patrick Show, Dungy said he and Peyton would talk strategy in the hallways per the quarterbacks fears the Patriots might have bugged the locker room.

“I know that that is very true, and, you know, as Peyton talked to guys who played for the Patriots, some of the guys who came over — whether it’s true or not he treated it as true. We didn’t have a lot of strategy discussions inside the locker room there,’’ Dungy said.

The Patriots don’t exactly have the best reputation for keeping things on the level following Spygate and now Deflategate. Leave it to Manning – who has been known to wear his helmet into the cold tub – to take no chances.

“Peyton takes everything to the nth degree,’’ Dungy said.
