Marshawn Lynch jokes about Super Bowl-sealing play on The League
Marshawn Lynch may have little to say to the media, but he’s made for great TV on FX’s fantasy football sitcom, The League.
The running back is slated to make his second appearance this upcoming season in a scene mocking the Seahawks’ roundly-criticized decision to pass from the one-yard line in Super Bowl XLIX. Entertainment Weekly posted the brief scene, which is embedded above.
Lynch first appeared as himself last season as the “silent partner’’ in character Taco’s (Jon Lajoie) ill-fated bed and breakfast venture, and is now a board member of his eponymous company Taco Corp according to the new clip. In both, Lynch generates laughs with his charisma and comedic timing.
If this scene and last year’s are any indication, Lynch could have a career in acting once he hangs up the cleats.
Season 7 of The League starts Sept. 9.
