Robert Kraft really misses Brandon Browner

Most of the Super Bowl XLIX-winning Patriots got their rings at a ceremony last month at owner Robert Kraft’s house, but some rings have taken a little longer to get to their owners.

Former Patriots cornerback Brandon Browner’s ring arrived in the mail Thursday, accompanied by a personal note from Kraft.

In case you can’t make it out, Kraft’s note to the new New Orleans Saint reads: “I’m truly sorry you left us – you were one of my favorites in the locker room!’’

It’s a curious choice of words by Kraft, whose team declined to pick up the cornerback’s $2 million roster bonus in March, making him a free agent. His contract for 2015 would have been worth as much as $6 million had he met all incentives. Two days later, Browner signed a three-year, $18-million deal with New Orleans.

In other Patriots cornerback news, the team reportedly signed former Raiders and 49ers cornerback Tarell Brown.
