Report: unnamed NFL long snapper, backup QB deflated footballs last season
As Patriots quarterback Tom Brady made his case at his Deflategate appeal hearing Tuesday, ESPN NFL insider Adam Schefter dropped a bomb of a report on television by saying he knew of two NFL players who had deflated footballs last season.
“There was one punter I know, one long snapper, who took a paperclip with him into games and deflated footballs before he snapped them during the games,’’ Schefter said. “There’s another backup quarterback that would deflate footballs for his starting quarterback.’’
