The Monday Morning Quarterback published a few excerpts from Rob Gronkowski’s new book, “It’s Good to be Gronk,’’ and it’s clear that Gronk doesn’t hold back on sharing a first person point of view of his wild lifestyle in his first turn as an author.

All phases of Gronk are covered in just a few paragraphs. From twerking at a bachelorette party for $30 to brawling with eight frat boys at Arizona, Gronk’s off-field antics are on display.

The most football relevant excerpt, however, shows the relationship between Gronk and Patriots head coach Bill Belichick. Gronk recalled a conversation with Belichick during a training camp practice.

“Coach Belichick was standing right next to me and said, ‘Rob, you’re one of the hardest workers I’ve seen, and you’re always working hard when you’re here, but when you’re not here… I don’t know about your craziness off the field the messing.’ I started laughing and told him, ‘The fun stuff makes me grind harder, coach.’ He shook his head as he walked off and said, ‘Whatever works for you.’’’

“It’s Good to be Gronk’’ is set to be released in July. You can check out all of The MMQB’s excerpts here.
