Terrell Suggs defends arch nemesis Tom Brady
Suggs says Brady’s legacy isn’t tarnished by Deflategate
Baltimore Ravens linebacker Terrell Suggs isn’t shy about his disdain for the Patriots and Tom Brady, but he’s actually saying nice things about Brady and the impact Deflategate will have on his legacy.
“The guy is a winner,’’ Suggs said, as quoted by ESPN.com. “He’s won with whatever kind of personnel that he’s had. So I don’t think it really tarnished it.’’
Coming from a guy who called Brady’s first three rings “questionable’’ because of the Tuck Rule, that’s a ringing endorsement. We detailed Suggs’ lengthy beef with Brady and the Patriots prior to last season’s AFC Divisional Round game.
Brady is suspended for the first four games of the 2015 season. His appeal will be heard June 23rd.
