Patriots Trade 147th Pick to Packers for 166th, 247th Picks

Bill Belichick traded down in the fifth round. The Boston Globe

The New England Patriots had seven picks entering the final day of the 2015 NFL draft. Apparently, that wasn’t enough.

The Patriots traded the 147th overall pick in the draft to the Green Bay Packers in exchange for the 166th pick (sixth round) and 247th pick (seventh round).

This is the second time the Patriots have traded down in the 2015 draft to acquire more picks. The first time was on Friday, when the Patriots traded the 96th overall pick to the Cleveland Browns.

The Packers went on to select UCLA quarterback Brett Hundley at No. 147.
