Watch: Malcolm Butler Interviews Football Fans; They Don’t Recognize Him
From intercepting a category at the Grammys to picking up his shiny new truck at a local Chevy dealer, it seems as though Super Bowl hero Malcolm Butler has been everywhere lately.
But for all the exposure Butler has seen since he all but sealed Super Bowl XLIX for the Patriots, he’s still largely anonymous on the street. Even, it turns out, when he’s holding up a picture of himself.
NFL Network recently dispatched Malcolm Butler to the streets of Culver City, Calif., where he asked several fans of various allegiance what they thought of his performance — and none of those shown recognized him.

Of course, Butler is far more likely to be recognized on Boylston Street than on the other side of the country, but we can’t blame him for steering clear of the ice cap that is Boston these days.
