Watch: Tom Brady’s Poor NFL Combine Didn’t Deter His Hall of Fame Career
NFL Network has released a “highlight’’ tape of Tom Brady’s performance at the 2000 NFL Combine, and let’s just say it wasn’t pretty.
Brady ran the 40-yard dash in 5.28 seconds, and his physique wasn’t going to make any Brazilian supermodels swoon over him. Brady looked largely clunky and athletic in drills as well.

A lackluster combine may have contributed to Brady’s fall to the 199th overall pick in the 2000 draft, but no one is laughing at him anymore. Brady has four Super Bowl rings and a pair of MVP Awards that prove the NFL combine isn’t necessarily a good measure for quarterbacking ability at all.
