Brady Mic’d Up: ‘It’s About Honor, Respect’
Tom Brady’s pregame speech to his teammates before Super Bowl XLIX was outstanding. It was the type of speech that only a champion with Brady’s history could deliver authentically. It ranks right up there with Herb Brooks’ Miracle on Ice speech.
“It started seven, eight months ago, right? All for this moment. It’s about honor. It’s about respect. We win this game, you’re honored! Your kids are honored! Your families are honored! Win on three!’’ Brady commanded.

Inside the NFL aired its Super Bowl edition of Mic’d Up Tuesday night, and Brady’s speech stole the show. At halftime, co-host and former Dallas Cowboy great Michael Irvin said: “Now the greatest part in the [first half] highlight was Brady, that Brady pregame talk man, I had goose bumps, they’re getting ready to play. Listening to Brady say that… that’s that hero’s stuff man, ‘Youre families will be remembered. I’m ready to hit a wall. That’s real man.’’
There were a slew of other awesome moments, including Brady’s “John Candy’’ moment in the huddle before the game winning drive.
“This is our time,’’ Brady said. “We need a big championship drive.’’

Brady also screamed like a little kid on Christmas when Malcolm Butler sealed the victory with the game-clinching interception, then celebrated with offensive coordinator Josh McDaniels.
