NFL teams aren’t the only ones trying to win the Super Bowl. Each year, advertisers shell out big bucks in hopes of winning the night. Over the years, Super Bowl commercials have produced stars nearly as synonymous with the game as NFL legends like Joe Montana and Lynn Swann.
From the start of Apple’s iconic “1984’’ ad during the third quarter of Super Bowl XVIII through recent classics like Betty White’s Snickers spot and the forceful performance of that adorable Darth Vader kid for Volkswagon, the breaks between the football action on Super Bowl Sunday seem to generate nearly as much anticipation as the game itself.
