Seahawks Fans Have Their Own Blend of Super Bowl Medical Marijuana

While Patriots fans will be busy downing Sam Adams (ok, Bud Light) on Sunday, some Seahawks fans will be imbibing a different kind of intoxicating substance.

A medical marijuana retailer in Seattle quickly sold out of 1,000 Super Bowl-themed packages of joints named “12th Packs.’’ Employees of Solstice have set a goal of rolling 2,000 joints per day so that all 12,000 joints will be ready in time, according to NBC’s King 5.

The hype video for the promotion boasts that Solstice, “wanted to bring something loud to the loudest fans in the NFL.’’

The Super Bowl strand of marijuana is a blend of Solstice’s Blueberry Cheeseback and Headband. Solstice says it tastes like “Skittles and victory.’’ The packs sold out within minutes of Solstice’s ad going live.

King 5 reported that Solstice is already receiving criticism from Pats fans calling the company and its customers “stoners.’’

“And to that we just respond, ‘We play within the rules of our state. That’s something you should advise your team to do,’’’ Director of Sales and Marketing Joe Santucci said.
