Patriots Warn Fans of Counterfeit Tickets After Arrest Is Made

Four people were arrested Thursday after allegedly selling counterfeit tickets to Sunday’s AFC Championship game on Craigslist. Now, the New England Patriots are cautioning fans hoping to attend the game at Gillette Stadium to be wary of fakes being sold on the secondary market.
The arrests were made in Somerville Thursday, after an individual who purchased the tickets noticed they were fake and called the police. The accused, all hailing from New York, had been selling in the Saugus, Billerica and Somerville areas, according to the Patriots.
The team emphasized that fans should only utilize the Patriots ticket office and Ticketmaster when purchasing tickets for this weekend’s game against the Indianapolis Colts.
