Report: Patriots Sign Chung, Bolden to Multi-year Extensions
If extension talks with superstar cornerback Darrelle Revis are going to be the main course of discussion this offseason at One Patriot Place, Friday morning provided a pair of appetizers for the Patriots’ front office.
Per ESPN’s Field Yates, Safety Patrick Chung and running back Brandon Bolden both signed multi-year contract extensions, following in the footsteps of special teams ace Matthew Slater and offensive lineman Marcus Cannon earlier this season.
Per reports, Chung’s contract is for 3 years and $8.2 million overall, with $3.4 million in guarantees. Bolden’s deal reportedly spans 2 years and will pay him $3.2 million, although just $300,000 of that is guaranteed.

Both Chung and Bolden play a variety of roles on the Patriots’ special teams units, and Chung has had a solid bounce back season after struggling in 2013 with the Eagles. Starting at strong safety and playing predominantly in the box, Chung had 85 tackles and 1 interception in 2014.
