Tom Brady Responds to Terrance Knighton: ‘We’ll Do Our Talking on the Field’

Tom Brady stands on the field after defeating the Denver Broncos, 43-21, on November 2nd.

Following Sunday afternoon’s win over the San Diego Chargers, Denver Broncos defensive tackle Terrance “Pot Roast’’ Knighton exuded confidence, making a very bold statement about Denver’s future — particularly against the Patriots.

“I don’t care if New England doesn’t lose again, I don’t care where we have to play,’’ Knighton told reporters. “I don’t care who our opponent is. We’re not going to be satisfied until we hoist that trophy. So if we’ve got to go to New England and win somewhere we’re not used to winning, we’re going to make it happen.’’

Before every Monday night football game, Tom Brady appears on Westwood One’s pregame show, and he had a response to Knighton’s comments.

“I’ll just say there is a lot of football left to be played. They’ll have their chance,’’ Brady said. “We’ll have our chance and we’ll do our talking on the field. It doesn’t matter what you say, it matters what you do and my dad always told me, ‘well done is better than well said.’’’

New England has beaten Denver in their last two trips to Gillette Stadium, but the Broncos handled the Patriots with ease in the AFC Championship game, hosted at Sports Authority Field at Mile High. If both teams win out the rest of their seasons, New England holds the tiebreaker over Denver because of their win, and would slot as the number one seed in the playoffs.
