Jets Backup Cornerback Has Playbook Stolen on Eve of Patriots Week
“It would not be Patriots week if there was not some espionage.’’ That’s how the New York Post started off an article about how Jets backup cornerback Josh Thomas had his playbook and passport stolen. Thomas tweeted out on Monday that a few of his belongings had been stolen.

The Jets confirmed that his playbook, which was issued on one of the team’s tablets, was missing, but they had erased all content off of the tablet when Thomas notified them of the theft on Sunday night.
This isn’t the first time fingers have been pointed at the Patriots possessing the Jets playbook. Earlier this summer in Monday Morning Quarterback, former Jets defensive coordinator and current Browns head coach Mike Pettine suggested Bill Belichick may have recieved the Jets playbook from Alabama head coach and close friend Nick Saban.
With or without the playbook, the Patriots opened this week as heavy favorites, -10.5, against a 3-11 Jets team which squeaked out a 16-11 win over the Tennessee Titans last week.
