For Coin Toss in Washington, Rams Send Out Six Acquired in RGIII Trade
Jeff Fisher knew exactly what he was doing when he chose which players would represent the Rams for their pregame coin toss on Sunday at FedEx Field.
The St. Louis coach had some fun with his picks before their matchup with Washington, sending out six players that were all acquired as a result of the 2012 trade that landed the Redskins Robert Griffin III.
Stedman Bailey, Michael Brockers, Janoris Jenkins, Alec Ogletree, Greg Robinson, and Zac Stacy were picked to head to midfield for the flip, an obvious gesture to the massive deal two seasons ago.

In the end, the Rams won in a 24-0 blowout, as Griffin came on in relief of Colt McCoy in the fourth quarter with the game in hand for St. Louis.
In May 2012, the Redskins sent a basket full of draft picks to the Rams in exchange for their No. 2 selection in the 2012 draft, which they used to take Griffin, who was a Pro Bowler his rookie year and led Washington to the playoffs, but has suffered from injuries and inconsistency over the past two seasons.
The Rams used two Washington picks they got in 2012 to take Brockers and Jenkins, while they took Ogletree, Bailey, and Stacy in the 2013 draft after trades. Robinson was the No. 2 selection in the most recent draft, as it took only two seasons for the Rams to recoup the top-2 pick they sent to the Redskins.
Now, with the Rams featuring a slew of young stars and the Redskins’ facing a dilemma at quarterback, it seems clear who got the best of the blockbuster deal.
