Mike Vrabel is missing some very special belongings after a break-in at his home in Texas.

The former Patriots linebacker posted to Twitter on Saturday that someone “smashed [his] back door in’’ and stole his three Super Bowl rings– the rings he won with the Patriots from 2001-04 (Warning: original Tweet in above link contains profanity).

Vrabel’s wife later Tweeted that the break-in occured while they were out watching their son’s basketball game.

Vrabel played eight seasons with the Patriots from 2001-08, recording 48 sacks and 11 interceptions in 125 games and was a key member of the Patriots dynasty that won three Super Bowl titles over a four year span. He also tallied 12 touchdowns on offense, including one each in the Patriots’ Super Bowl victories over the Carolina Panthers and Philadelphia Eagles.

Vrabel’s last year as a player came in 2010 with the Kansas City Chiefs; he is currently in his first season as a linebackers coach with the Houston Texans after spending three years as an assistant at his alma mater Ohio State.
