The 16th meeting of Tom Brady and Peyton Manning went about as well as Patriots fans could have hoped. Manning threw for over 400 yards and two touchdowns, but also threw two interceptions as his individual stats were not enough to propel the Broncos past Tom Brady the Patriots, with New England earning a 43-21 win.

Manning: 34-for-57, 438 YDs, 2 TDs, 2 INTs

Manning went 34-for-57 in passing for the contest, chalking up 438 yards with two touchdowns and two interceptions. The Patriots’ pass rush did little to hurry Manning in the contest, but the Denver quarterback wasn’t able to take advantage.

Brady: 33-for-53, 333 YDs, 4 TDs, 1 INT

Brady didn’t have the yardage of Manning in the game, but he converted when it counted. Brady completed 33 of 53 pass attempts for 333 and four touchdowns with one interception, as the Patriots went 7-for-17 on third and fourth down, compared to the 3-for-15 put up by Denver.

Broncos: 0-for-4 on 4th down

After Ronnie Hillman caught a touchdown pass with 5:50 left in the third, the Broncos could not convert on fourth down in three consecutive drives to end the game. Gronkowski: 9 REC, 105 YDs, 1 TD

Tom Brady utilized his monster of a tight end all night, as Rob Gronkowski muscled his way to over 100 receiving yards for the 15th time in his career. He also made a ridiculous one-handed grab in the fourth quarter, then caught the 50th touchdown of his five-year career, becoming the fastest player to reach 50 career touchdowns since Randy Moss.

Brady: 11-5 in 16 career starts vs. Manning

With the win, Tom Brady improved to 11-5 in 16 career starts against Manning-led teams. Brady is 3-1 since Peyton took over as starting quarterback of the Broncos, with the only loss coming in the 2013 AFC Championship Game.

Patriots: 5-0 since Week 4 loss to Kansas City

Since putting up four duds to start the first month of the season, Tom Brady has been outstanding his last five games. He’s completed 67 percent of his passes over the past five weeks, averaging 320.2 yards per game with 18 touchdowns and just one interception, while, most importantly, the Patriots have gone a perfect 5-0.
