Defensive tackle Alan Branch officially signed with the Patriots on Wednesday, and by Thursday, he was already missing from practice.

But according to the Patriots’ injury report, the 6-foot-6, 325-pound mammoth was absent for a non-injury reason.

The rest of the report remained unchanged from Wednesday to Thursday.

Defensive end Chandler Jones (hip) remained the lone absence. Defensive lineman Dominique Easley (knee), safety Nate Ebner (finger), offensive tackle Cameron Fleming (finger), and wide receiver Matthew Slater (shoulder) were limited. Quarterback Tom Brady (ankle), cornerback Brandon Browner (ankle), and linebacker Dont’a Hightower (knee) were full participants despite their respective injuries.
