Patriots Declare Dont’a Hightower and James White As Final Inactives vs. Bills

With two more players to announce as inactive, the Patriots ruled out linebacker Dont’a Hightower and running back James White for Sunday’s game against the Buffalo Bills.
Hightower (knee) suffered the injury against the Kansas City Chiefs in Week 4, and did not play last week against the Cincinnati Bengals. He was limited in practice all week, but tried to plant and cut on the field in pre-game warmups, according to reports. Without Hightower, expect more snaps for linebacker Deontae Skinner in the middle.
White is a healthy scratch, and has yet to make his regular season debut for the Patriots.
Offensive lineman Cameron Fleming (finger), safety Nate Ebner (finger), defensive tackle Dominique Easley (shoulder/knee), center Bryan Stork (concussion), and cornerback Brandon Browner (ankle) were ruled out on Friday and Saturday.
That means that wide receiver Brian Tyms will make his regular season debut for the Patriots. The veteran pass-catcher came on strong in the preseason, with 11 catches for 188 yards and two touchdowns in four games.
Inactives for the Bills include wide receiver Mike Williams, defensive back Aaron Williams, tackle Cyrus Kouandjio, running back Bryce Brown, defensive back Ross Cockrell, linebacker Randell Johnson, and wide receiver Marcus Easley.
