Several high-profile NFL players have been involved in recent domestic violence incidents. Baltimore Ravens running back Ray Rice was suspended indefinitely by the league on Sept. 8 after video surfaced of him knocking out his wife. Minnesota Vikings star Adrian Peterson has been placed on the commissioner’s exemption list while the league decides his punishment for a child abuse case that has not yet played out in court. Goodell has come under fire for his handling of the cases, which include several reversals of initial decisions.
