Patriots cut Crable
The Patriots have announced that they have released Shaun Crable, a third-year linebacker who made his debut this season after two full seasons lost to injury.
Crable, a third-round pick in 2008 out of Michigan, played in six games this season, registering four tackles. He also had a half a sack, which came Sunday night in the Patriots’ 39-26 win over the Steelers.
He was inactive for the first eight games of the 2008 season before being placed on injured reserve with a leg injury. He was injured again during the preseason last year and missed the entire season on IR.
He was cut July 28 and re-signed to the practice squad on Sept. 6. He was signed from the practice squad to the 53-man roster Sept. 25.
If Crable clears waivers, the Patriots could add him to the practice squad.
