Welker in uniform at OTA
Now here’s a very encouraging sign, Patriots fans: Wes Welker is uniform and on the field during organized team activities this morning in Foxborough.
Welker, who suffered a torn ACL and MCL in his left knee during the regular season finale at Houston Jan. 3, was seen on the field, chatting with coach Bill Belichick and stretching with teammates.
The Patriots’ star receiver had surgery on the ACL in early February. He also had shoulder surgery this offseason, while his MCL injury healed on its own. Typical recovery time for an ACL injury is 6-8 months.
This morning, Welker was wearing a knee brace, and went through the bag drill, during which players have to lift their knees high.
