Boston Mayor Marty Walsh filled out his NCAA bracket on Tuesday, predicting that North Carolina will beat Arizona, 77-73, in this year’s men’s college basketball championship.

Although the Mayor stuck to higher seeds for his Final Four, which includes No. 2 Louisville and top overall seed Villanova in addition to No. 1 UNC and No. 2 Arizona, he wasn’t shy in picking some upsets in the Round of 64.

Notably, Walsh has all No. 10 seeds (Marquette, Oklahoma State, VCU, and Wichita State) advancing to the Round of 32 over their No. 7 seed opponents.

He also went with the No. 12 team in three out of the four 5/12 match-ups — a historically common March Madness upset. His only exception was selecting No. 5 Notre Dame over No. 12 Princeton, going with one of his alma matter’s biggest rivals to prevail against this year’s Ivy League champs.

Walsh has all New England teams in the tournament — Rhode Island, Providence and Vermont — heading home early.

In Politico’s Playbook pool, Walsh’s bracket will be up against the picks of House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi and New York Congressman Joe Crowley.
