Tacko Fall hits first career 3-pointer in G League, roasts Grant Williams

After calmly drilling his first career 3-pointer Friday in a G League game, Tacko Fall used the opportunity to lightheartedly poke fun at a close friend and former teammate.

“Felt like Grant when he finally made a three after 1000 attempts,” Fall tweeted Saturday.

It wasn’t quite 1,000, but Grant Williams did infamously miss 25 straight 3s to start his career. Fast-forward two years, and Williams is now the fifth-most accurate 3-point shooter in the NBA (42.2).

He’s still not as accurate as Fall, who had never attempted a 3 in the G League or in the NBA until Friday. With the shot clock at 8, and his Cleveland Charge team down 17 late in the fourth, Fall let it fly. Nothing but net.
