Inside the Patriots’ locker room: The Patriots pulled off a stunning win in Buffalo to hand the reigning division champion Bills their first loss of the 2025 season on Sunday night, with a late Andy Borregales field goal ensuring a 23-20 victory.

After the game, New England’s entire organization was predictably elated in the visitors’ locker room. Head coach Mike Vrabel gave game balls to wide receiver Stefon Diggs — who totaled 10 catches for 146 yards — and Borregales, who drilled all three field goals on the night (including the 52-yarder to give his team the lead for good).

“Let me tell you something,” Vrabel told the team in a video shared by the Patriots. “I’m happy for you. It’s you. It’s the players. Fellas, you guys go out there and do it.”

Making sure to remind his team that they still had “so much to improve,” the New England coach also sounded a note of confidence.

“I’m not surprised,” Vrabel said of the upset win. “I want you to understand that: I’m not surprised at all.”

After handing the first game ball to Diggs, Vrabel tossed one in Borregales’ direction.

“We talked all week about [how] we were going to block one [field goal]. I didn’t know we were going to make one, but we made it,” he joked.

“I just have to keep reminding you every day we come to work of what you’re capable of,” Vrabel added to the entire team. “What you’re capable of if we just work a little bit and we focus on our identity, and we start protecting this f****** thing.

“Now we need each other protecting it, every single day,” he added. “Practice our identity every single day, nothing’s going to change. I promise you I’m not going to change. We’re getting on a plane, we’re making the corrections. Good, bad, ugly, and we’ll give you a plan that you guys believe in, we’ll practice it, and then we’ll go win another game. Here we go.”

Diggs closed it out, breaking things down with a team cheer.

“We all we got,” he said to the team, which responded in unison, “We’re all we need.”

“I love you boys,” Diggs concluded. “We’re onto the next game.”
