Keegan Bradley credited ‘the people of New England’ after dramatic Travelers Championship comeback
"Felt the support all week long!"
Keegan Bradley’s win: On Sunday, New England native Keegan Bradley entered the final hole of the Connecticut-based PGA Travelers Championship trailing Tommy Fleetwood by one shot.
But in a remarkable sequence, punctuated by an excellent approach shot and a clutch putt, he turned it completely around and won with a birdie on the 18th green.
“A Keegan comeback not to be believed,” said Jim Nantz in the CBS broadcast. The 39-year-old Bradley, who has ties to Vermont (where he was born), as well as New Hampshire and Massachusetts, noted that the regional tournament is one he pays special attention to.

He credited fans for their support.
“Absolutely incredible,” he said following the win. “I feel an obligation to play for the people of New England and the Northeast, represent them, and this is the best way I can do it.”
He posted on social media afterward, adding that he “felt the support all week long!”
Looking ahead, Bradley — the U.S. Ryder Cup captain — may deviate from his previous notion of only playing if he ranked in the top six automatic qualifiers. With the win, he moved up to ninth, but also appears to have reconsidered his original position.

“This changes the story a little bit. I never would have thought about playing if I hadn’t won. This definitely opens the door to play,” Bradley said. “I don’t know if I’m going to do it or not, but I certainly have to take a pretty hard look at what’s best for the team and we’ll see.”

The Red Sox lost to the Giants 9-5 on Sunday, dropping two out of three against San Francisco. Boston will now face the Angels on the road tonight in the start of a new three-game series. First pitch is set for 9:38 p.m.
On Wednesday, the Revolution will host Nashville at 7:30 p.m.
