Tom Brady, just like us (sports nerds): One of the more enjoyable peripheral pursuits for sports fans has always been something trivia-related (see below). As it turns out, Tom Brady appreciates a good Sporcle quiz just as much as anyone else.
In fact, Brady displayed some decidedly relatable emotions while trying to nail a few tests from the longtime trivia website in a video posted on Thursday by the NFL. The only difference is that unlike essentially everyone else, Brady had a direct hand in determining the statistics he was being quizzed on.
Though he acknowledged at the start of the video that he had never heard of Sporcle, Brady’s competitiveness quickly took over. Within moments, Brady could be seen intently trying to recall the 63 answers in the quiz titled “Tom Brady’s Highest Yardage Receivers By Season.”
After the allotted six minutes — with, as Sporcle veterans will note, an appropriate level of agonizing deliberation — Brady finished with 97 percent of the correct responses.
On the second quiz, which tested his recall of “NFL Madden Cover Players,” the former Patriots quarterback wryly noted that he had an inside track on a few of the answers.
“I had two Madden covers,” Brady joked, referencing the Madden ’18 and Madden ’22 versions.
Though he managed to remember Browns running back Peyton Hillis (the cover athlete for Madden ’12), Brady could not remember Vince Young (Madden ’07) or Daunte Culpepper (Madden ’02).
He finished the second quiz with 93 percent correct answers.
The result of Brady’s brief foray into the world of sports quizzing?
“I’ve been addicted to online sports trivia for 3 days now,” he joked on Twitter.

Trivia: Tom Brady can be heard in the Sporcle quiz video he shared on Thursday trying to think of his leading receivers from (among other years) 2014. Besides Rob Gronkowski and Julian Edelman, what two other Patriots players each had more than 50 receptions that season?
(Answer at the bottom.)
Hint: Wide receiver from LSU, running back from Cal.
