Jayson Tatum will be on the cover of NBA 2K25
Tatum will appear alongside WNBA star A'ja Wilson.
Jayson Tatum is on the cover of NBA 2K25: It’s been quite the run for Jayson Tatum in the last few weeks. And while his latest achievement might not compare to winning an NBA title, it’s validation of his recent success.
Tatum was officially named the cover athlete for the standard edition cover of NBA 2K25.
He will also appear alongside WNBA star A’ja Wilson on the All-Star edition of the game:
Tatum, 26, was one of the central pillars in the Celtics’ recent run to the team’s 18th NBA championship. Already a five-time All-Star, he’s the first athlete to represent a Boston pro sports team on the cover of a video game since Tom Brady with Madden NFL 18.
Trivia: Who is the most recent Celtic to be on the NBA 2K cover?
(Answer at the bottom).
Hint: He played against the Celtics in the 2024 playoffs.
Scores and schedules:

An eventful night: Every member of the Boston lineup collected at least one hit in Tuesday’s win. Brayan Bello marked his return to the rotation with a microcosm of his season to this point: periodic dominance, but inconsistent.
On this day: In 2013, David Ortiz became the all-time leader in hits as a designated hitter, going 2-for-3 with a home run in an 11-4 win over the Mariners.
Daily highlight: At just 16, Spanish winger Lamine Yamal became the youngest goalscorer in European Championship history in the 2-1 comeback win against France on Tuesday. Spain will play in the final on Sunday at 3 p.m. against the winner of the other semifinal (between England and the Netherlands on Wednesday).
Trivia answer: Kyrie Irving (NBA 2K18)
