Ahem, "Veronica's dad," we should say.

Proud dad alert.

WBZ-TV Sports Director Steve Burton recently arrived in the Bay Area for Super Bowl week and spotted a familiar face: His daughter Veronica on the side of a building.

“Humbling moment,” he wrote on X, sharing a photo of himself pointing at the Golden State Valkyries billboard.

Veronica Burton, who plays for the Valkyries in the WNBA and the Mist in Unrivaled, starred at Newton South High School and Northwestern University before going pro as the No. 7 overall pick in the 2022 WNBA draft. Last season, she earned the WNBA’s Most Improved Player Award.

“Steve Burton: Your family is truly admirable and amazing,” legendary Boston Globe sports columnist Bob Ryan replied to Burton’s post.

“Love that she wears your dad’s number,” another wrote, referring to late Boston Patriots running back Ron Burton, who also donned No. 22.

“That’s a proud dad moment if we’ve ever seen one 🥹,” the WNBA said in a repost.

The post has garnered over 200 supportive replies and more than 350 reposts overall.

In another post, shared by WBZ-TV Sports Producer Joe Giza, a woman walks by Burton getting ready to go on air and says, “Are you Veronica’s dad?,” much to the delight of Burton and his colleague Dan Roche.

“Bay Area keeps showing my dad how loyal they are out west!!!,” Veronica Burton wrote, sharing the video.
