NESN has made an in-season addition to its roster, hiring Alanna Rizzo as a general sports reporter and analyst.

Rizzo, a seven-time Emmy Award winner, is probably best-known for her two stints with MLB Network, where her roles included contributing to the program “High Heat,” hosted by Chris “Mad Dog” Russo from 2021-24.

Currently, she contributes to the “Foul Territory” show and podcast (foulterritoryshow.com) featuring Ken Rosenthal and several former players, and has been part of Blue Jays coverage on Sportsnet in Canada. Rizzo also hosted baseball programming on TBS in 2023 and ’24.

Previously, she spent seven seasons as the in-game reporter and host on SportsNet LA’s Dodgers broadcasts, beginning in 2014.
