NBC Sports Boston hires Amina Smith as on-air personality

Amina Smith is joining NBC Sports Boston as a multi-platform host and on-air talent.

Smith comes to the market from Chicago, where she was a host and reporter for the digital sports network Stadium.

She will make her debut Thursday when she hosts the new season of “Celtics Post-Up” at 7 p.m.

Smith, a native of Brooklyn, N.Y. and a University of Miami graduate, will also contribute content across all of the NBC Sports Boston platforms, including the “Celtics Talk Podcast” with Chris Forsberg.

 “Amina brings an exciting energy and presence to our network,” said Kevin Miller, VP of Content Creation and Strategy, NBC Sports Boston, in a statement. “Her enthusiasm for creating content along with her ability to tell stories is sure to engage fans. Our network welcomes Amina into the family and we look forward to the impact she’ll be making for years to come.”
