NBA won’t let matter of sitting stars rest
As of early Thursday evening, a few good seats were still available for the compelling and potentially crucial Celtics-Cavaliers matchup April 5.
Over on Celtics.com’s Ticketmaster page, the least expensive ticket cost $69. The priciest remaining, in Section 100-level club seats — a fine spot to take in a game, but many rows up from where various Patriots and random Wahlbergs often can be found — was a very precise $318.45. Prices were higher on the usual ticket broker sites. It’s a safe bet virtually every one of those tickets on the various sites will be sold by the time the Cavs arrive in town.
A Celtics game is a great take, especially if you have kids, for whom the game experience is tailored nowadays. But demand and the current overall appeal of the NBA and its stars can make it pricey to get in the building, and that’s without factoring in the requisite ancillary costs such as concessions, parking, and a giant green foam finger.
