Mike Adams, the former longtime host of the evening program on sports radio station WEEI 93.7, will be returning back to radio next month.

Adams, who was abruptly laid off by WEEI last June, has landed a new job on Binnie Media’s Frank-FM stations hosting an afternoon drive program, according to The Boston Globe. The stations airing the program will include 106.3 FM in Nashua, 107.5 FM in Portland, Maine, and 105.5 FM in Rockland, Maine.

A veteran of the Boston sports media – Adams won two regional Emmy awards as host of Mike Adams Sports World on NECN from 1992 to 1998 – he had been the evening host at WEEI since December 2005 and spent nearly 23 years with the station.
