Fenway Park Events announced that boxing will return to the ballpark for the first time in 69 years on June 7.
Partnering with Nolan Bros. Boxing Promotions, the park will host a professional fight card of 11 bouts in the Big Concourse at Fenway.
“This event marks a major moment for boxing in Boston, with an unprecedented fight card headlined by undefeated super middleweights Laurent Humes and Thomas O’Toole,” said Nolan Bros. Boxing Promotions co-founder Matt Nolan in a statement. “We’re also proud to feature standout bouts including Rico DePaolis vs. Anthony Hines, Ross Rodriquez vs. Greg Bono, and Sheniell Rodriguez vs. Jayson Colon.
“And in a historic first for Fenway Park, Lexi Bolduc and Sara Couillard will square off in a highly anticipated women’s rematch,” added Nolan. “Nolan Bros. is proud to be part of Boston’s boxing resurgence, delivering top-tier matchups at iconic venues for the greatest fans in the world. Join us on June 7th for a night to remember.”
The most recent boxing match at Fenway Park was in 1956, when Tony DeMarco won the fight over Vince Martinez in the 10th round.
Tickets start at $100 and a limited amount of ringside seats are available for purchase.
The doors will open at 4 p.m. with the first fight starting at 5 p.m. on June 7.
