NFL star Antonio Brown pitches in for Norwood-based shoe company on ‘Shark Tank’
ISlide was founded in Norwood back in 2013.
It’s go big or go home for Justin Kittredge, the former head of Reebok Basketball and current founder and CEO of ISlide.
Kittredge is set to appear on ABC’s Shark Tank September 23 at 9 p.m., where he will pitch his Norwood-based slide sandal company with help from the Pittsburgh Steelers’ Antonio Brown.
“Taking ISlide to Shark Tank has been amazing,” Kittredge said in a statement. “We’re ready to show the world that we’re doing more than just making sandals. We’re starting a movement of self expression.”
ISlide was founded back in 2013 with the goal of changing the custom-shoe business. Individual consumers can buy one custom pair for themselves or companies can buy them in bulk to sell on their own site.
And Brown is not ISlide’s only celebrity supporter.
DJ Khaled discovered the brand and started giving them as gifts to other high profile TV celebrities, such as Ellen DeGeneres and Chelsea Handler.
“Business is booming,” Kittredge said in a statement, “and it can only get bigger.”
