Red Sox and Yankees fans don’t agree on much, but Saturday at Fenway Park, they joined forces to support a group they mutually admire.

The back-to-back champion UConn men’s basketball team made its way to Boston, spending time in the dugout, on the field, and more.

The Jumbotron showed Huskies highlights – including from their time at TD Garden earlier this year – as they saluted the crowd.

Coach Dan Hurley met with Red Sox manager Alex Cora, and Southborough native Alex Karaban threw out the first pitch.

Karaban told reporters he was nervous heading into the experience. The pitch was accurate, which was a huge relief to Karaban.

“I’m so happy it’s done now,” Karaban told reporters. “I’m glad I didn’t embarrass the program.”
