It was a different venue, but a similar high-charged atmosphere when Boston College and Boston University squared off for the second time in 24 hours Saturday night, this time in front of a sellout crowd of 6,150 at Agganis Arena.

It was also a similar result, as BC held off a furious rally by BU to come away with a 4-3 win and a sweep in a battle of the two top-ranked teams in men’s college hockey.

With the win, BC (18-4-1, 11-3-1 Hockey East) moved into a first place tie with the Terriers in the conference and earned bragging rights, at least for the next nine days. The teams will meet again on Feb. 4 at TD Garden in the first round of the Beanpot.
