A Maine freshman hockey player’s goal is garnering international attention
"Words don't do it justice."
University of Maine freshman Eduards Tralmaks burst onto the national — and international — hockey scene Friday night.
In a 7-4 win at Quinnipiac University, the Black Bears forward chased down the puck following a center-ice face-off and dangled it repeatedly back-and-forth past the last remaining defender before netting the backhand finish from his knees.

The goal led the Friday night edition of SportsCenter and earned coverage from the Canadian sports network TSN.
The 20-year-old even received lavish praise from the Quinnipiac media.
