Vin Baker Jr. commits to Boston College
Vin Baker Jr., son of the 13-year NBA veteran and former Celtic, has committed to Boston College. Baker, a senior at Hamden Hall Country Day School in Hamden, Conn., averaged 16.5 points, 7 rebounds, and 2 assists this past season.
“I feel that Boston College is the best place for me to grow as a player and student,” said Baker when reached at school Tuesday. “Coach [Jim] Christian and [assistant] coach [Scott] Spinelli told me the things that they were going to do for me to turn me into the best player that I can be, and that’s what I need, a supportive system.
“It means a lot. They believe in me and see the potential I have. They want me to succeed.”
