Darius Wade takes over Boston College offense

“The main thing is just maturity."

The reins of Boston College’s offense in his hands as the Eagles opened spring practice on Wednesday, quarterback Darius Wade was confident that the experience he’s accumulated as a redshirt junior will lead to production in the coming season.

“The main thing is just maturity,” Wade said. “Me now being a redshirt junior, I’ve been around for a while, I’ve been around these guys, I know this system, I know how college football works. I’ve had a chance to sit behind Tyler Murphy, behind Pat Towles, experienced fifth-year guys who’ve been through a lot in the SEC, which is the ‘toughest conference.’
