Boston College beats Tulane 6-3 to win Oxford Regional

OXFORD, Miss. (AP) — Boston College scored three runs in the second inning and never trailed to beat Tulane 6-3 in the NCAA Tournament’s Oxford Regional championship game on Sunday night.
The Eagles (34-20) completed a perfect regional with their third win in three days. The program advances to the Super Regional round of 16 for the first time in school history.

This is the 1st time BC has won a Regional since the expansion to 64 teams. #BCEagles had advanced out of Districts 4 times; last in 1967.

Johnny Adams went 4 for 4 with three RBIs to lead Boston College. Jacob Stevens (4-3) earned the win, giving up two earned runs over five innings.
Tulane (41-21) managed just seven hits. Hunter Williams was 2 for 3 with a solo home run.
