Red Sox release 2026 schedule, which opens with a trip to Cincinnati in March
With about one month left in the regular season, the Red Sox already have a hint at what the 2026 season will look like.
The team on Tuesday released the full 2026 schedule, which kicks off March 26 with a three-game series against the Reds in Cincinnati.
The Sox will then play three in Houston before returning to Fenway Park for their home opener, an April 3 matchup against the Padres that kicks off a three-game series.
The Sox will host the Yankees seven times next season, including three games in April (21-23) and four in June (25-28). The Sox will travel to the Bronx for three-game series in June (5-7) and August (28-30).
The 2026 Patriots’ Day matchup, an annual early game that coincides with the Boston Marathon, will be played on April 20 and will mark the end of a four-game series against the Tigers. Other holiday games at Fenway Park include Mother’s Day (May 10) against the Rays and Labor Day (Sept. 7) against the Angels.
Eight National League teams will travel to Boston in 2026, including the Padres (April 3-5), Brewers (April 6-8), Phillies (May 12-14), Braves (May 26-28), Nationals (June 29-July 1), Diamondbacks (Aug. 17-19), Giants (Aug. 21-23), and Cubs (Sept. 25-27).
To conclude the regular season, the Red Sox will host the Guardians (Sept. 22-24) and Cubs (Sept. 25-27).
Time and broadcast information for all games will be released at a later date.
