McCoy Stadium, the home of the Triple-A Pawtucket Red Sox from 1970 to 2020, was a staple in Pawtucket and beyond for local baseball fans.

In the final days of the stadium’s existence, before it’s torn down in the coming months, former Red Sox players and more took time to express their gratitude.

Here are reactions from those who will always remember it fondly:

Former Red Sox and PawSox INF Lou Merloni

Baseball Hall of Famer and former PawSox INF Wade Boggs

Former Red Sox and Paw Sox broadcaster Don Orsillo

Former PawSox RHP Robin Fuson

ESPN’s John Buccigross

Former Providence Journal and Boston Globe reporter Mike Stanton

WBZ sports reporter Dan Roche
